Description
pH sensor is used to measure the hydrogen potential of liquids in order to specify the acidity or basicity of the solution.
This sensor is composed of an electronic control module and a hydroponic electrode (probe). In the probe there are two electrodes, a silver or silver chloride electrode that is reference and a glass electrode that is sensitive to hydrogen ion. The electronic module serves to condition the signal appropriately to the microcontroller.
The pH sensor is widely used in swimming pools and aquariums to determine whether the pH is alkaline, neutral or acidic.
